ICAR AIEEA 2022 - Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission acronym as ICAR AIEEA is taken by NTA for admission to:
- 100% seats at ICAR-Deemed-to-be-Universities (Bachelor degree at NDRI, Karnal only while Master degree at IARI, IVRI, NDRI, and CIFE), and
- 15% seats for Bachelor degree and 25% seats for Master degree at State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Central Universities with Agricultural Faculty (Banaras Hindu University, Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University and Aligarh Muslim University (for PG only) and SHIATS Allahabad.

Educational Qualification
For AIEEA-UG
- The aspiring candidates must have passed and obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General, UPS, and OBC categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST, and PH categories in 10+2 examination or equivalent/Inter (Agriculture), with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations.
Age Limits
- Aspiring candidates who must have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 23 years are eligible.
For AIEEA-PG
Educational Qualification
- The Aspiring candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (or appear in the final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 years degree programs (Few seats are also available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 year degree program) with required Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) categories, the said requirement is 5.60/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively.
- In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC, and UPS categories whereas, for SC/ST/PH, the requirement is 50% marks (Equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable).
- For admission in M.V.Sc. programs, the candidate must have completed B.V.Sc./ B.V.Sc. & A.H. with Internship.
- The in-service candidates, seeking admission to ICAR-Deemed-to-be universities, should see the respective universities ’ websites for further details.
Age Limits
- Aspiring candidates must have attained the age of 19 years for being eligible to take this exam.
For SRF-PGS
Educational Qualification
- Aspiring Indian Nationals, must have passed a Master's degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum of 55% or equivalent OGPA (50% or equivalent OGPA for SC/ST and PH candidates) from any recognized university in India or abroad.
- The equivalence of OGPA to percent marks, where needed, will be certified by the Registrar of the concerned University and must be produced by the candidates.
- Candidates appearing in the final semester would also be eligible provided they complete the Post-Graduate degree in all respects by the date of examination and produce the degree completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect.
- The candidates who have already joined Ph.D. and completed more than two years as of the date of examination are not eligible to apply. The above conditions will also apply to in-service candidates.
Age Limits
- Between 21 and 30 years as of 21st Apr 2021, the date of examination.
- The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST/PH and 3 years in the case of OBC categories.
- For in-service candidates, as specified, the maximum upper age limit will be 45 years.

- AIEEA PG Consists of questions from the Major subject chosen by the candidates.
Syllabus for AIEEA SRF-PGS
- Paper 1 of SRF PGS will consist of questions from General Knowledge in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries, and Allied Sciences, etc. including current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience.
- Whereas Paper 2 consists of questions from one of the majors selected by the student.
ICAR AIEEA 2022 Pattern
The pattern of the AIEEA-UG Exam
There will be only one question paper consisting of 180 multiple-choice objective type questions in:
- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Agriculture) for “STREAM–A” and
- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for “STREAM–B”.
The question paper will be in ENGLISH and HINDI. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
The pattern of the AIEEA-PG Exam
- There will be only one question paper in each major subject group consisting of 150 multiple-choice (MCQ), objective type questions, and also 10 cross-matching type questions.
- The question papers will be in ENGLISH only. For each incorrect answer in MCQs, one mark will be deducted from the total score, while for each incorrect crossmatching type sub-question/pairing, 0.2 marks will be deducted from the total score.
The pattern of SRF-PGS Exam
There will be two papers in the written examination, i.e., Paper-I & Paper-II. The question papers will be in ENGLISH only.

Paper-I will be a composite paper on General Knowledge common to all subjects. The questions will be designed to test the ability of a candidate’s awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. There will be negative marking (–25%/–0.25 marks) for each wrong answer. The paper will be evaluated through computer scanning.
Paper-II will also be an objective type having subject-specific multiple-choice OMR-based questions. Paper-II of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify for Paper-I. Merit criteria will include 75% weight-age for the marks obtained in the written examination and 25% weight-age for the past academic performance.
ICAR AIEEA 2022 Exam Dates
ICAR AIEEA is normally held in the month of May/June.
How to apply for ICRA AIEEA Entrance Exam 2022?
Aspiring candidates can opt for any of the following ways to apply for ICRA AIEEA:
- For SRF (PGS) the applications will be submitted ONLINE only.
- For AIEEA-UG and PG can be submitted both Online and Offline.
For receiving applications Online, a provision has been kept to deposit the application fee either through-
(i) Bank Challan of Syndicate Bank or
(ii) credit/debit card using Payment Gateway of Syndicate Bank or
(iii) NEFT.
Candidates can also download the form from the official website of ICAR http://www.icar.org.in.
ICAR AIEEA 2022 Fees
- For AIEEA-UG: Rs. 500/- for General, OBC, and UPS categories and Rs. 250/- for S.C., S.T., and P.H. categories.
- For AIEEA-PG: Rs. 600/- for General, OBC, and UPS categories and Rs. 300/- for S.C., S.T., and P.H. categories
In addition, Rs. 25/- per Bulletin would be charged as handling charges plus service tax as applicable, in case of purchase against cash, whereas Rs. 50/- per Bulletin should be added in the Bank Draft amount towards postal expenses if requested to be sent by post from COE (Edn).
SRF(PGS): SRF-PGS Information Bulletin will be available only ONLINE at www.icar.org.in from December onwards and a fee of Rs. 1200/- for General/OBC and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST and P.H. categories shall have to be deposited through any of the three modes of payment while submitting the application Online.
