MITID DAT 2024 - MIT Institute of Design, Design Aptitude Test acronym MITID DAT is conducted by the Institute for providing admission to various programs offered in Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Fashion Design:

For B.Des Program
Aspiring candidates must have passed class 12 from any stream (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB) or equivalent. Those in the final year are also eligible to apply. |
For M.Des ProgramAspiring candidates must have completed graduation from any stream 10 plus 2 plus 3 (minimum) or equivalent. Those in the final year are also eligible to apply. |

The questions are set to test-Observation Power, Utilization of form, color, shapes, and Innovative ways to look at and describe objects and environment, Imaginative expression, drawing & proportion sense.
MITID DAT consists of two phases as given below:

Phase 1 MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) was conducted at various centers across the country. Based on scores obtained from MITID DAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for the second phase. |
Phase 2 Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune. The second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at the Institute in Pune. |
Aspiring Candidates can apply for MITID DAT by visiting the official website i.e. http://www.mitid.edu.in/ of the institute and following the instructions given there.
The fee for MITID DAT is Rs. 3000/- to be paid in the form of a DD in favor of “MIT ID PUNE” drawn on the Pune branch.
The Design Aptitude test fees can also be paid online while filling up the application form.
MITID DAT is usually held in the months of April/May.
