SBI Specialist Officers Exam 2024 Eligibility  

Educational Qualification

For Deputy Manager (Law) (Regular)

• Aspiring candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree in law i.e. 3 years regular or 5 years (integrated) from a recognized university in India.

Required Experience

• Candidates should have enrolled as advocates with the bar council and had 4 years of experience as practicing advocates or law officers in the legal department of scheduled commercial banks or 4 years of combined experience as practicing advocates and law officers in the legal department of scheduled commercial banks.

For Special Management Executive (Regular)

• Aspiring candidates should have passed CA, ICWA, ACS, MBA in Finance, or 2 years PG Diploma in Finance.
  

Note: Students who have completed degrees through correspondence or part-time are not eligible for the SBI Specialist Officer posts

Required Experience

• Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as an Executive in a Supervisory or Management role either in a scheduled commercial bank, associate, subsidiary of a scheduled commercial bank, or a public sector, listed financial institution/company.
  

Note: Candidates will be preferred with experience in the processing of credit proposals.

For Deputy General Manager (Law) (Contractual)

• Aspiring candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree in law i.e. 3 years regular or 5 years (integrated) from a recognized university in India.

Required Experience

• Candidates should have been enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and possessed 17 years of experience as law officers in the legal department of scheduled commercial banks, financial institutions/asset reconstruction companies, or combined experience as a law officer in the legal department of scheduled commercial bank and asset reconstruction company.

Note: Candidates with extensive experience in recovery and rehabilitation are preferred.

For Deputy General Manager (Law) (Regular)

• Aspiring candidates should have passed a bachelor’s degree in law i.e. 3 years regular or 5 years (integrated) from a recognized university in India.

Note: Candidates who have passed a postgraduate degree in Law are preferred. 

Required Experience

• Candidates should have been enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and have 17 years of experience as a law officer in scheduled commercial banks and holding the post of assistant general manager (law) or equivalent in the legal department of the scheduled commercial bank for at least 3 years.

Note: There is no written test for Special Management Executive (regular), Deputy General Manager (Law) (contractual) & Deputy General Manager (Law) (regular), they will be selected based on their qualification, suitability, experience, etc. for further interview.

SBI Specialist Officers Exam Medium will be in two languages i.e. Hindi and English and the interview carries 50 marks.
