Educational Qualification
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10+2) or at the Bachelor's level are eligible to take this test. OR
- All those candidates who are appearing in the Bachelor's degree examination in the respective year and fulfill the aforementioned criteria are also eligible but they will have to furnish proof of having passed the Bachelor's degree examination at the time of admission to the respective institutes.
Note: Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply for this test.

1. Mathematics

- Algebra: Algebra sets, relations, and functions, Summation of series, Progressions (Arithmetic, Geometric & Harmonic), Partial fractions, complex numbers, and logarithms.
- Differential & Integral Calculus: Limit-Continuity-Differentiability, Successive differentiation, Leibniz theorem (definition & applications), Mean Value Theorems (Role’s & Lagrange’s definitions), Maxima & Minima, Indefinite & definite integrals, Trapezoidal, Simpson’s rules of integration, Partial differentiation.
- Statistics: Mean, median, mode, moments, mean deviation, standard deviation. Moments, correlation, & regression.
- Probability: Probability, conditional probability, Baye’s theorem, Binomial, Poisson, normal distributions.
- Coordinate Geometry: The distance between two points, section formulae, collinear points, & centroid. Translation and rotation of coordinates, plane, perpendicular & parallel conditions, Straight-line (slope, slope-intercept form, intercept form, normal form), parallel lines; perpendicular lines; the intersection of two lines; Angle between two lines, the line passing through the intersection of two lines, foot of perpendicular, the circle has given center and radius, circle passing through extremities of a diameter, circle passing through three points, great circle.

How to apply for VITMEE 2024?
Aspiring candidates can adopt any of the following modes to apply for the VIT entrance exam:
OFF-LINE Application
- VITMEE Application Forms can be obtained from the designated branches of Post Offices on cash payment of Rs. 750/- Details are available on the VIT website: http://www.vit.ac.in or
- By sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favor of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with a request letter containing the full address of the applicant or
- By handing over a DD for Rs. 750/- in person at VIT University, Vellore (or) at VIT Chennai Campus or at Chennai City Office.
Online Application
For filling out the online application the candidates have to follow the Steps given ahead.
- Before filling out the application form, Kindly refer to the Information Brochure carefully
- Fill all the columns carefully, an incomplete application form will be rejected
- Enter the required details and then click on the ‘Submit & Proceed to Printing’ Button at the bottom of the page.
- Please check the content before proceeding with the print. The printout should be in A4 size only
- Duly filled-in application form to be affixed with color passport size photograph and Signature
- The application form is to be sent along with the DD of Rs. 750/- drawn in favor of ‘VIT University, payable at Vellore for Indian candidates / DD of 50 USD for NRI candidates.
- The application form has to be sent to the address of the Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore-632014, Tamil Nadu, India
- Kindly note down the application number generated for any future correspondence.
- Candidates are advised to take a photocopy of the application form.
