About Central India School of Fine Arts - CISFA

Central India School of Fine Arts, commonly known as ‘CISFA’ located in Mundle Public School Campus, Near Outer Ring Road, Gawasi Manapur Wardha Road, Nagpur, was established in 2005 by Mundle Educational Trust (MET), Nagpur. College is affiliated to Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, and approved by the Government of Maharashtra.

CISFA offers Fine Arts Degree Courses for 12th Passed Students, Master Degree Courses for BFA Passed Students, and Certificate courses for 10th Passed Students. The curriculum integrates the talents of students with their personal vision and aspirations with overarching goals of preparing them for professional employment in art & design careers.

Central India School of Fine Art (CISFA) provides advanced facilities for teaching-learning as well as ample exhibition space for an art gallery.

Studios

Studios are where design students study and nurture their creativity. Fully equipped material workshops at Central India School Of Fine Arts allow students to have conceptual and physical space to investigate and experiment with material, tools, processes, and ideas. Practical techniques are regarded as an integral part of the problem-solving process that students need to exercise through hands-on workshop activities. The workshop facilities provide students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the skills required to attain mastery in their field.

 Labs

Computer labs at Central India School Of Fine Arts are built to accommodate high-end graphics and development. This lab will have a wide range of design-related software with Wi-Fi internet connectivity* inspiring the students to achieve their highest potentials in originality, innovation, and creativity.

Library

Library stocks a large range of books and publications, including excellent periodicals and magazines.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria serves fresh, hygienic, and nutritious food in a relaxed and friendly environment. It is a favorite hang-out place with students.

Hostel Accommodation & Transportation

Central India School of Fine Art (CISFA) does not provide the Residential Accommodation and Transportation Facility. Needy students are requested to contact the Central India School Of Fine Arts Office for the proper information about Boys/Girls Hostels in Nagpur and reliable private transportation. Hostel facilities will be provided at subsidized charges for rural or economically backward students by social organizations.

Admission Procedure:

Who is Eligible to Apply?

  1. Candidates must have passed the CBSE/State Board/IB (or any other equivalent board) 10+2 examination in any discipline.
  2. Lateral entry into the 2nd year of the degree program is possible for students who have successfully completed the first year of their degree program or Art Teacher Diploma (ATD) from a nationally recognized University
  3. Lateral entry into the 5th year of the Master Degree program is possible for students who have successfully completed the BFA degree or GD Art Diploma from a recognized University

Admission will be based on CISFA’ s Aptitude Test, personal interview, and portfolio.

The cost of the Prospectus along with Application form for Aptitude test & Admission Form is Rs. 300/- (By post-Rs.350/-).

Entrance test/ Aptitude Test:

Admission is subject to the clearing of the Entrance Test and Personal Interview. The decision of the Admission Committee will be final in all respects. Students should bring art material (pencil, Brushes, watercolor, etc.). Paper will be provided by the Institute.

The result - Result will be declared on the next day of the Entrance Test.

The following documents (along with 2 sets of Xerox) should be produced at the time of the Interview :

  1. Xth standard certificate as proof of date of birth.
  2. Mark sheet of the last qualifying exam.
  3. Leaving Certificate of the Institute last attended
  4. Character certificate of the Institute last attended or from a Gazetted Officer.
  5. Migration Certificate (if necessary)
  6. 6 photographs of the students and 2 photographs of parents/ local guardians.
  7. Address proof. (permanent and local)
  8. In the case of SC/ST/OBC/ AF & PH Category Candidates, a certificate from the competent authority in the students’ name.

Submission of Admission Form :

1. Fees along with admission form and original certificates and documents should be deposited within a week after the declaration of result.

2. The fee is payable through NEFT/ Cash/ DD/ Cheque drawn in favor of the ‘Central India School of Fine Art ' payable at Nagpur. Fees once deposited will not be refunded in any case.

Important Dates of aptitude test, result & last date of receiving of application, Declaration of Admission/ Waiting List, last date of receiving of Admission form will be displayed on college notice board (Till 15th July at CISFA’s City Office (Laxminagar, Nagpur). The city office will be shifted to the college premises at Wardha Road from 15th July.

Fees Structure: Approximate 50k to 60k for one year.

Dear students Welcome to the exciting world of fine art. Students starting afresh on fine art courses always have a mixture of excitement & eager anticipation with a little nervousness. I hope that this venture will probably be one of the most enjoyable times of your life. These days, an increasing number of jobs require a technical degree, either instead of a Bachelor’s Degree or in addition to it. Workforce and workplaces are changing because of technology and global competition. As you move along in your career, you will probably need more education or different education to meet new challenges.

Central India School of Fine Arts (CISFA) was established as a traditional Fine Arts College in Nagpur in 2005. Now, It is one of the few specialist art colleges in central India. CISFA offers exceptional education for creative careers as part of a student-centered approach to learning. Education in Fine Art at CISFA gives the valuable BFA /MFA Degree along with an effective portfolio. This specific purpose portfolio will be useful to make your bright future. Employability is a key outcome, with nearly 90 % of our students progressing to work or further study.
