How to become a Statistician?

To become a Statistician the aspiring candidates need to follow the given steps

Step 1
After clearing 10+2  or equivalent examination with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects Physics, Mathematics plus any one of the Chemistry, Statistics, and Computer Science subjects aspiring candidates need to apply for B.Sc. Statistics. Students may have to clear an entrance exam.

However, some colleges/universities also give admission on the basis of % of marks obtained in the qualifying class.

Step 2
After completing this 3 years of course in which one has to go through all the major aspects, one can take up jobs in private or public sector as a statistician like Statistical Survey of India etc. or start his own business of providing statistical data required by any organization. Besides taking up a job one can also go for higher studies like M.Sc., PhD etc.
