Salary of the IAS officers is fixed by Government of India pay scales for Civil Servants that keep on revising with successive pay commissions. However presently the salary of a new entrant to IAS as Junior Officers is nearly Rs.40,000 to Rs.45,000 per month and that of senior officers i.e secretary etc. is nearly Rs.90,000 besides other benefits and perks.
