‘China’ is known as the Diabetes Capital of the World’. As per New England Journal of Medicine reports (2010) based on national study, there are 92.4 million adults in China who are diabetic. Based on their it estimated that about 50 million men and 42 million women have diabetes, or almost 1 in 10 adults. It is expected that nearly 150 million more Chinese adults are at a stage where they will become diabetic soon. However, India is not far behind and there are indications that proper figures provided by India will determine which country has the most Diabetic Population. According to countrywide figures released by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), in October 2009, China was estimated to have 43.2 million diabetics, compared to 50.8 million in India.
