Eligibility

A candidate who has passed BA / BSc degree examination of Bangalore University or any other university in India or abroad recognised as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects including languages, excluding internal and class marks provided is eligible to apply.

1) He/She has studied at least one of the following languages: Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Sanskrit.

2) Candidates from Karnataka shall have studied any two of the three electives given below for all the three years of degree.

Candidates from outside Karnataka shall have studied in addition to the language at least two electives mentioned below in their three-year course by appearing in one subject in the university examinations for at least 2 years and in the principal subjects for all three years without change of subject.

Electives: History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, English, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Sanskrit.
