About ICFAI University - Nagaland

ICFAI, Nagaland (IUN) is a Private self financed University and one amongst the group of institutions known as Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (ICFAI) located at Jaipur, Raipur, Solan, Ranchi etc. ICFAI, Nagaland was established under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (Nagaland) Act, 2006 (Act No. 2 of 2006) dated 19.06.2008 of the Government of Nagaland. IUN is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a not-for-profit educational society established in 1984 under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Areas) with the objective of imparting training in finance and management to students, working executives and professionals in India. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK. The University is empowered by University Grants Commission to award degrees under section 22 of UGC Act

Location of ICFAI, Nagaland

The University is located in Sovima (Dimapur).

How to Reach Dimapur

I.  By Air - Dimapur is the only airport of the state as of 2015. Dimapur is connected by air route with the rest of the country with daily flights to Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi

II.  By Road - NH-36 and NH-39 connects Dimapur to the rest of the country. Kohima the capital of the State, district headquarters, important towns and villages are connected to Dimapur by the Nagaland State Transport, Taxis and other mode of conveyances.

III. By Rail - Dimapur also has a rail station, which serves rail service to Guwahati connecting it to the rest of India.

Library Facilities – The university library has over 7,500 books and 60 journals. It also has a number of periodicals, magazines and other publications.

Computing Facilities - The University is equipped with required hardware and software infrastructure which fulfils the training needs of information technology related courses. Internet connectivity is also provided to the students here.

Seminar Presentations – To inculcate and sharpen reading, summarizing and presentation skills students are given chances to participate in seminars on management, information technology and other topics. These activities are done under the guidance of the faculty.

Co-curricular Activities - Some of the co-curricular activities of the University are literary and cultural programs, games and sports, music club, movie club, green club etc.

Guest Lectures – Eminent personalities and professionals are invited for guest lectures. Through these lectures the students can interact with them and understand the practical applications of various management and information technology concepts and ideas. The students also get acquainted with leadership roles, develop group and interpersonal skills and develop the right kind of attitude for success in their career.

Training and Placement - The training and placement team initiates and maintains the university-industry dialogue and manages the summer internship programs/projects and final placement activities. The team evaluates student performance levels and ensures relevant preparation for their corporate placements. The team provides guidance, support and network with potential employers.
