The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML), was established in 1984, by the Government of India, as a national level school of excellence in management.It was the fourth Indian Institute of Management to be established in India after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore. It is situated at the outskirts of the city of Lucknow. It is spread over 185 acres, IIM-Lucknow campus is an ideal setting conducive to learning. The diversity of options in IIML’s curriculum is complemented by a breadth of activities outside the classroom. Every student finds exhaustive opportunities to participate in and contribute to a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. IIML is also entering into collaborative arrangements with leading business schools and research centres in India, Europe, Canada, South and South-east Asia. science. Location - The campus is located amidst serene surroundings at Prabandh Nagar about 21 kms from Lucknow Railway Station and 31 kms from Lucknow Airport.
Transportation - Lucknow is about 450 kilometres to the south-east of Delhi. Lucknow is well connected to the rest of the world by air, road and rail. Its Amausi airport has direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Sharjah. Lucknow is a major railway junction with convenient overnight connections to and from Delhi.

Gyanodaya - The IIM-Lucknow library is housed in a spacious 30000 sq. feet, two storied, air-conditioned and functionally designed building with a seating capacity of 250 readers in five halls. The library acts as the main learning resource centre of the Institute and provides services and facilities to meet the requirements of the Institute's teaching, training, research and consulting programs. It stocks a rich collection of over 60,000 select learning resources in the discipline of management and related areas, in a variety of formats and is managed by a highly dedicated team of professionals. The library has a cyber-lab, which is equipped with eight Pentium nodes in order to facilitate the use of database and online journals available in online/offline mode. Important databases/services subscribed to by the library include ABI/INFORM, Business Source Premier, Capitaline 2000 Crisil Infac, Prowess BPO (full text), IEL online, ACM Digital Library, Insight- Corporate database, IBID, Indlaw.com, Indiastat.com, ISI emerging markets, GMID and many other useful reference works.
The Computer Centre & IT Facilities - The Computer Centre is housed in a spacious 15,000 sq. feet, two floored, air conditioned, centrally located building and is equipped with state-of-the-art computing resources to cater to the needs of the academic as well as the administrative activities of the Institute. The IT infrastructure thus helps students in gathering relative information from global resources and prepares them with a framework to build their knowledge. The infrastructure at the Computer Centre includes a fibre optic backbone based campus-wide network connecting machines on heterogeneous platforms with several servers. The network provides accessibility of 1300 nodes to each of these servers for sharing different hardware and software resources. All buildings are connected through a fast Ethernet-switched network.
Residential Facilities - IIM-Lucknow is a self contained establishment that offers excellent residential facilities to all its participants for its growth. Ergonomically designed residences cater to the living requirements of the faculty and administrative staff. The residential facilities for students include hostels that are interconnected and well equipped for the living needs of the students. All students are provided furnished accommodation with an attached toilet and a kitchen in the hostels on campus. Students may arrange their catering by joining the PGP Students' Mess, which is run and managed by the student committee, with the infrastructural support provided by the Institute. Adequate facilities are provided for recreational and co-curricular activities.
Student Exchange Program - IIM Lucknow International Exchange Programme is an initiative through which the students do a part of their studies in Business Schools all around the world. At the same time, foreign students and teachers come to IIM Lucknow to understand the working and mindset of one of the potentially largest markets in the world.

Health Facilities - Uniquely designed medi-care facilities, perhaps the only of its kind in the country, provides a flexible structure of medi-care support through in-house Medical Officers, dispensary with a network of associated Hospitals and giving option to the employees for reimbursement of Mediclaim insurance to take care of the hospitalization and other related expenses.
Sport Facilities - IIM-Lucknow boasts of having one of the best sporting infrastructure facilities among all the B-schools in the country. The institute continuously renovates its sporting facilities adding new individual and team sporting arenas to facilitate overall development of and foster the sporting spirit among the community. Some of the facilities at IIM-Lucknow include a state of the art Gymnasium, Pool tables and Board games in all the hostels, indoor Badminton Courts, out door facilities for Tennis, Basketball & Volleyball as well as composite facilities for Football & Cricket.
Guest Talks - Companies can conduct guest lectures, seminars and workshops on campus. Not only do these interactions provide the students exposure to real life business problems, they also help build relationships with organizations. Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs) - These conducted by companies are an excellent opportunity for students and recruiters. It gives students an opportunity to know about prospective employers in detail - the company's objectives, the available job opportunities and career paths within the organization and gives the corporate a chance to attract appropriate candidates for their requirements. Placement - Placements at IIM Lucknow have witnessed participation from some of the leading Indian as well as foreign organizations. Majors from across all the sectors have been regular visitors to the campus. Some of the recruiters are ABN Amro Bank, DSP Merrill Lynch, Mckinsey & Company Accenture, Dupont etc.
Management Development Programs - IIM Lucknow devises and designs customized tailor-made programmes, to the specific needs of the organizations both in private and public sector. These programmes pertain to general management as well as functional areas. The programmes can be conducted at IIM Lucknow Campus or at the location designated by the client organization. Chanakya and Patanjali, residences for the MDP participants have 128 well-furnished air-conditioned rooms on single occupancy basis. The whole campus has wi-fi connectivity.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) - The SIGs serve the cause of a specific functional area. They organize competitions, quizzes and publish magazines and periodicals with an aim of increasing the body of knowledge in that functional area. The SIGs, according to their functional area are:
