AIMCET 2015 - All India MCA Common Entrance Test acronym as AIMCET is conducted on National level by the Indian Institutes of Technology Roorkee on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Program offered by IIT's and many leading Universities and Colleges. It is one of the most popular CET Entrance Exam in India. This test is for those institutions that are presently holding their own entrance test and admitting certain percentage of them on all India basis. Students admitted on All India basis in the State level institutions shall be admitted only through the AIMCET.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10+2) or at the Bachelor's level are eligible to take this test.
All those candidates who are appearing at the Bachelor's degree examination in respective year and fulfil the aforementioned criteria are also eligible but they will have to furnish the proof of having passed the Bachelor's degree examination at the time of admission to the respective institutes.
Note:- Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply for this test.
AIMCET exam consists of the following given subject:
Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansion, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, binomial theorem, permutations and combinations, surds, determinants, matrices and application to solution of simultaneous linear equations.
Rectangular Cartesian co-ordinates, equations of a line, mid point,intersections etc., equations of a circle, distance formulae, pair of straight lines, parabola,ellipse and hyperbola, simple geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, scaling.
Limit of functions, continuous functions, differentiation of functions(s),Tangents and normal, simple examples of maxima and minima, Integration of function by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integral application to volumes and surfaces of frustums of a sphere, cone, cylinder, Taylor Series.
Differential equations of first order and their solutions, linear differential equations with constant coefficients, homogenous linear differential equations.
Position vector, additions and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.
Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse function
Probability and Statistics:
Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, and measures of dispersions, skewness and kurtosis, random variable and distribution functions, mathematical expectations, Binomial, Poisson, normal distributions, curve fitting, and principle of least squares, correlation and regression

Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back-up devices

All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) is multiple-choice based entrance exam, with negative marking for wrong answers. MCA Entrance Exam question paper comprises of four main sections consisting of:

Each question shall carry 4 marks for correct answer. For every incorrect answer one mark shall be deducted. If a question has not been attempted no credit will be given.

AIMCET Exam Test Centres
The test is proposed to be held at the following cities but if candidates opting for a particular city are less than 300, the organizing institute may not hold the test in those cities thereby allotting the candidates a city opted by them as second preference during filling of the application form.
