KLEE - Government of Kerala Law Entrance Exam

Kerala Law Entrance Exam 2013 - Government of Kerala Law Entrance Exam is conducted to select aspiring candidates for graduate and post-graduate courses in various government law colleges in state of Kerala. The selection of candidates for admission to the various i.e 5 year L.L.B course, 3 year L.L.B course and 2 year L.L.M course is based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. The colleges offering the LLB and LLM courses are:-

• Govt. Law College, Thiruvananthapuram
• Govt. Law College, Ernakulam
• Govt. Law College, Thrissur and
• Govt. Law College, Kozhikode.

Kerala Law Entrance Exam Eligibility

1. Eligibility conditions for Five Year LLB Course:

Educational Qualification:

He or she has passed the 12th Exam from Kerala Board or any recognized Board/University with 40% marks (35% for reserved).

Age Limits

Candidate should be of 17 years on December 31, 2012

2. Eligibility for Three Year LLB Course:

Educational Qualification

He / she should have passed an exam of 10+2+3 from universities of Kerala and any other recognized university.

Age Limits

There is no age limit for the candidates who want to take admission to three year LLB course.

3. Eligibility conditions for Two year LLM Course:

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed the L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3 year course) from the Universities in Kerala or other Universities recognized by the UGC and Bar Council of India are eligible for admission.

Note:Final year candidates can also apply for the Entrance Examination but they will have to submit required documents at time of admission.

Kerala Law Entrance Exam Syllabus 

The Entrance Exam paper will cover

• English Language
• General Knowledge, and
• Legal Aptitude.

Kerala Law Entrance Exam Pattern

Kerala Law Entrance exam will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions covering General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

Kerala Law Entrance Exam Dates

Government of Kerala Law entrance is normally held in the Second week of August.

Aspiring candidates can download the Application forms and  Prospectus from the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee-kerala.org. Filled-in  application forms Completed applications with all the documents should be forwarded to:

Important: Candidates are directed to go through the various provisions in the Prospectus available in the Official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations “cee-kerala.org” before submitting their applications.

Kerala Law Entrance Exam Fee

For General candidates, the application fee is Rs.600 (Rupees Six Hundred Only) and for SC/ST Candidates the application fee is Rs.300 (Rupees Three Hundred Only).

Keralites residing within the State can remit the Application fee in any branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Challan provided on page No.7 of the application form.

The original Challan contained in page No.7 shall be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees.

However those residing outside the State can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram
