UPSC released the admit cards for CDS Exam (I) 2018.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit cards Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2018 on the website.

All those candidates who have applied for the same can visit the official website i.e upsc.gov.in and follow the instructions given their to get their admit cards.

Note: The admit cards would be available for download until February 4, 2018.

Scheme of examination:

CDS examination comprises:

Written examination

Interview for intelligence and personality test (vide Part 'B' of this Appendix) of such candidates as may be called for the interview at one of the Services Selection Centres.

Examination details:

The maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interviews will be equal for each course i.e. the maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interviews will be 300, 300, 300 and 200 each for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers' Training Academy respectively.

Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur And Visakhapatnam.

Intelligence and Personality Test:

The SSB procedure consists of two stages. Only those candidates who clear the stage I are permitted to appear for stage II.

  • Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on the combination of performance in OIR Test and PP and DT.
  • Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days. The details of these tests are given on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
