B.A. Hons. Persian or Bachelor Arts in Honours Persian is an undergraduate Persian language course. In B.A. Hons. (Persian) emphasis is given on its origin, social aspects, literature, grammar, etc. Persian literature spans two-and-a-half millennia, though much of the pre-Islamic material has been lost. Its sources have been within historical Persia including present-day Iran as well as regions of Central Asia where the Persian language has historically been the national language. Graduation is generally three academic year degree course and it may be provided on a part-time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus is divided into six semesters. The degree holders have a lot of job scopes in the Persian speaking communities.

Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam in the Arts stream with good knowledge of Persian and Persian as one of the subjects.
