B.A. Santali or Bachelor of Arts in Santali is an undergraduate Santali language course. Santali is a language in the Santali sub-family of Austro-Asiatic, related to Ho and Mundari. It is spoken by about six million people in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. Most of its speakers live in India, in the states of Jharkhand, Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Tripura, and West Bengal. B.A. Santali is a three-year degree course and it may be provided on a part-time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus is divided into three parts and four papers comprising history, poetry, novel, short story, drama, essay, Santali folksongs along with its cultural development. The scope of the course is mostly in the Santali speaking area; and also, is given credit in non-Santali areas.
