MA Psychology or Master of Arts in Psychology is a Post-Graduate Psychology course. Psychology at the advanced level comprises a complete and in-depth study of Psychology as a discipline. The Master of Arts in Psychology programme examines mental processes, motivations, responses, feelings, conflict resolution, crisis management, groupthink, motivation, and the nature of the mind.
General Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and other courses and themes are covered in the Psychology degree. In other words, the Master of Arts in a Psychology degree programme is a scientific investigation of mental functioning and behaviour. The Master of Arts in Psychology programme is two years long and is divided into four semesters.
MA Psychology Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.
- However, many of the reputed universities demand a graduation degree with Honours in Psychology or Psychology as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognised universities/colleges of the country for admission to MA in Psychology degree course.
- Some of the very reputed universities and institutes demand a minimum of 45-50% marks in graduation as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this course and some also conduct entrance examinations to get admission to their MA in Psychology degree course.
- Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e., total marks aggregated in the final exams of graduation and the entrance exam.
