Ph.D. Psychology or Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology is a Doctorate level Psychology course. Psychology is a scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behaviour in each context. The Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology degree is a research-based program. The program prepares innovative scholars, researchers, and educators to contribute to the body of knowledge through intensive study in the field of psychology. The program, culminating in a dissertation, builds the foundation for theoretically grounded research and development of knowledge in the study and application of personality, motivation, learning, emotion, and behaviour. The duration of the program is a minimum of two years from the date of registration (3 years for external candidates) and maximum of 5-6 years.
