Audiology Courses in India provides various levels of studies i.e. bachelors, post graduate and ultimately doctorate ones. Audiology is a branch of science which deals with the study of hearing, balance and related disorders through tests and treatment through hearing aids. It also deals with deals with human speech and related disorders. Audiology practitioners are known as Audiologists. Audiologists are licensed professionals who hold a master's degree, Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), or Ph.D. in the hearing sciences. They treat those with hearing loss and pro-actively prevent related damage. Basic Requirements

Academic Qualifications - To pursue a bachelor's degree in Audiology one needs to be 10 + 2 pass with Science or an equivalent examination. 
To practice audiology, a person needs to have either Bachelors / Masters Degree in Audiology and be registered with Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) or Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). There is a number of government and private health care agencies which provide speech and hearing services. Majority of Speech Pathology and Audiology programs are accredited by Rehabilitation council of India (RCI).
