M.Phil. Tourism or Master of Philosophy in Tourism is postgraduate Travel and Tourism course. Tourism is travel for recreational, leisure or business purposes. The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for more than twenty-four hours and not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited. The first year of the study will focus on course-work and development of a research proposal. In the second year of the program, students will conduct their field research and write a thesis.

M.Phil. Tourism Eligibility

  • The common admission regulations for the master’s degree is that candidates should pass at least with the second class degree in tourism and related fields, and appropriate work experience of not less two years will be eligible for admission to the degree programme.
