M.Tech Hydraulics or Master of Technology in Hydraulics is a Post-Graduate Civil Engineering course. The application of fluid mechanics concepts to issues involving the collection, storage, control, transport, regulation, measurement, and use of water is known as hydraulic engineering. The Hydraulics degree program is a very challenging academic program. The Master of Technology in Hydraulics program helps students gain scientific and technological knowledge while also preparing them for engineering operations (design, operation, and maintenance) of structures and grids used for water collection, treatment, storage, and distribution.

This Master of Technology in Hydraulics program intends to prepare experts in both the public and commercial sectors who will be able to solve current and future difficulties and demands in hydraulic and civil engineering, hydraulic works and infrastructures, hydrology, and water resources management. The following focus areas are highlighted throughout the program: experimental and numerical techniques, constitutive modeling, physical modeling, numerical modeling, structural engineering, water treatment, and resource management. The Hydraulics degree includes a review of the fundamental equations of Fluid Mechanics, an expansion of momentum analysis methods known from Thermo fluids, and a detailed discussion of the powerful Dimensional Analysis technique, which allows the systematic discovery of parameter sets that govern the flow's characteristic features.

M.Tech Hydraulics Eligibility

  • The students should have passed a BE / B.Tech degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor's.
  • Some of the very reputed universities and colleges conduct an entrance examination for admission.
