Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test - GBU ET 2024 - Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test acronym GBU Entrance Exam is conducted by the university for itself and its affiliated institutes/schools for admission to various UG and PG courses such as given below:

  • Five Years of Integrated Dual Degree Programme: B.Tech., M.Tech. and MBA in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Technology, Food Processing Technology.
  • (BBM + MBA), (B.A Hons + MA in Buddhist Studies & Civilization) B.Arch (Five Years Degree in Architecture)

Educational Qualification

For Integrated Dual Degree Programme B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA

Aspiring candidates should be 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST).

Note: Candidates appearing in the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can also apply.
Candidates must be passed separately in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 40% marks

For Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch)

Aspiring candidates must fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria along with NATA score securing a minimum of 40% marks

For Integrated Dual Degree Programme (BBM and MBA)

Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 in any stream securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST)

For Integrated Dual Degree Programme (B.Tech, M.Tech/MBA) in Food Processing and Technology

Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST)

For Integrated Dual Degree Programme in B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA in Biotechnology

Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST).

For BA (Hons), MA in Buddhist Studies and Civilization

Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 in any discipline with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST).

For Master in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) 

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.Arch / B.E or B.Tech in Civil Engineering From any recognized University / College with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech in Environment Engg and M.Tech in Structural Engineering

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, M.Sc in Environment Sciences from any recognized University / College with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech in Power System Engg.

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, from any recognized University / College with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

For M.Tech in Bio-Technology (Three Years programmes for Science Graduates)

Aspiring candidates should have passed Graduation in any discipline of life science, from any University/college established by law, with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech in Bio-Technology (Two Years programme for Engineering Graduates)

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.Tech. degree in Bio-Technology or any area of Bio-Technology or M.Sc (Life Science) from any recognized University / College with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech for Engineering Graduates (Software Engineering, Intelligent System and Robotics / Wireless Communication and Networks / VLSI Design) 

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.E / B.Tech degree in Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Technology, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Science or M.Sc (Electronics / Computer Science / Computer Technology) or MCA from any recognized University college with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech in Computer Science

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.E / B.Tech degree in Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Technology / or M.Sc (Computer Science and Computer Technology) MCA from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech in Embedded System

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.E / B.Tech degree in Electronics Science / Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology or M.Sc (Electronics) from any recognized University / College with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For MBA

Aspiring candidates should have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized college/University with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech Food Processing and Technology

Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.Tech degree in Food Processing Technology/Food Engineering/Dairy Engineering, Agriculture Engineering Bio-Technology, and Bio-Chemical Engineering. OR M.Sc (Food Science/Life Science) from a recognized college/University with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) or equivalent grade. 

For M.Sc Applied Chemistry

Aspiring candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s degree with chemistry as one of the subjects for three years/six semesters from a recognized college/University with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Sc Applied Physics

Aspiring candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s degree with physics as one of the subjects for three years/six semesters from a recognized college/university with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.Sc Applied Mathematics

Aspiring candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects for three years / six semesters from a recognized college/university with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

For M.Sc Environmental Science 

Aspiring candidates should have passed Graduation in Science discipline from a recognized college/university with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% SC/ST) or equivalent grade

For M.Sc Food Science

Aspiring candidates should have passed Graduation in Food Science / Food and Nutrition / Home Science / Agricultural Engineering from a recognized college/university with securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

For M.A (Buddhist Studies and Civilization)

Aspiring candidates should have passed  Graduation in any discipline from a recognized college/university with a minimum of 45% marks (for general and OBC) and 40% marks (For SC/ST) or equivalent grade

For M.Phil (Buddhist Studies and Civilization)

Aspiring candidates should have passed M.A from a recognized University/college with 55% marks (for SC/ST) or equivalent grade in any relevant subject. Preference will be given to postgraduate students of Buddhist Studies, History, Pali, Sanskrit and Philosophy or equivalent grades.

For M.A (Applied Psychology, Economics, Planning and Development, English, Hindi, History and Civilization, Political Science and International Relations, Sociology, Urdu, Mass Communication, Master in Social Work)

Aspiring candidates should have passed  Graduation in any discipline from a recognized college/university with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade

For M.Phil in clinical / Rehabilitation Psychology 

Aspiring candidates should have passed Post Graduate in Psychology from a recognized college/university with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.

How to Apply for GBU ET 2024?

Aspiring candidates can apply for the Gautam Buddha University Entrance Exam by adopting any of the following given ways:

Online Submission

The online application form and brochure will be available on the official website i.e., www.gbu.ac.in. The application fee may submit through CC/DC/Net Banking/DD. The candidate must send the printed copy of the filled online application form along with documents and DD (if application) to the address given below. 

Offline Submission

OMR/Application form with admission brochure can be obtained from university counter by paying in DD drawn in favour of “Chairman, Admissions Gautam Buddha University, payable at New Delhi of Rs. 1200/-for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates.

Outstation candidates may obtain the OMR Application form by post after paying the Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Chairman, Admissions Gautam Buddha University, payable at New Delhi.
