Educational Qualification
For B.Tech
- Aspiring candidates should have passed the 12th Standard (50% marks) or equivalent examination, recognized by State or Central Education Board. The candidates who have appeared for the 12th Standard in 2021 / awaiting results can also appear in the examination.
- Candidates must have taken five subjects in 12th Standard; they must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects in 12th Standard.
For U.G / P.G / U.G-P.G (Integrated)
- B.Com / B.LIS / M.LIS / LL.B / MBA / M.Tech / M.A (English) / MBA (Integrated)/ LL.B (Integrated)
For B.Com
- Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination, recognized by State or Central Education Board.
- The candidates who have appeared for the 12th Standard in 2021 / awaiting results can also appear in the examination.
- Candidate must have taken five subjects in 12th Standard, He/she must have studied two papers from amongst Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics & Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate.
For MBA (Integrated) / LL.B (Integrated) / B. LIS
- Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination, recognized by State or Central Education Board and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate.
- The candidates who have appeared for the 12th Standard in 2021 / awaiting results can also appear in the examination.
For LL.B, M.LIS, M.A (English) and MBA
- Candidate must have passed graduation or equivalent examination in any discipline from a UGC recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate.
- The candidates who have appeared in the final degree examination in 2021/ awaiting results can also appear in this examination.
For M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
- Candidate must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engg./ Production Engg./ Automobile Engg./Industrial Engg./ Aeronautical Engg. and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate.
- The candidates who have appeared in the final degree examination in 2021/ awaiting results can also appear in this examination.
For M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering)
- Candidate must have passed B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Instrumentation Control and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate.
- The candidates who have appeared in the final degree examination in 2021 / awaiting results can also appear in this examination.

SRMHCAT consists of questions from the following relevant subjects/topics.

SRMHCAT 2024 Pattern
SRMHCAT comprises 100 questions carrying 300 Marks.
The Medium of language for question papers will be English only.
SRMHCAT will be conducted both Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) and Online (Computer Based Examination)
- For B.Com, MBA (Integrated) B.LIS, M.A (English) and M.LIS Courses entrance examinations would be conducted only in offline mode.
- For MBA & M.Tech Courses entrance examination would be conducted only in online mode.
- For B.Tech the entrance examination would be held online as well as the offline mode and they can choose their exam mode as per their preference and convenience.
Note: There is No Negative Marking for wrong responses.
How to Apply for SRMHCAT 2024 Exam?
- Aspiring candidates can apply for SRMHCAT by any of the Online and Offline Mode. For online, they can visit the website of University i.e. www.srmuniversity.ac.in. / and follow the instructions given there.
- For Offline Mode, Candidates can purchase the application form from the approved sale centres by making a payment of Rs.1100 either in cash or DD in favour of SRMERI payable at New Delhi, to the following address.
