International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar (IIIT-BH) is an Information Technology, Higher Education Institute. IIIT, Bhubaneswar has been registered as a society in November 2006. In January 2014, the Institute was converted to a University by the Government of Odisha. It also became a Unitary University as well after the enactment of IIIT Bhubaneswar Act (Odisha act of 2013). The institute was established by the Government Odisha as it wanted to establish a world class institute of Information Technology in the state. IIIT-BH is managed by a Governing Body, consisting of representatives from the Government of Odisha, Leaders from the IT industry and eminent educationists. The Information Technology Department is the controlling Department. The Government provides funds for the Infrastructure creation. However, the Institute earns its own Revenue Expenditure. The Institute enjoys academic, financial and administrative autonomy by the powers invested through the IIIT Bhubaneswar act. It has a compact 23 acres and shares its neighbourhood with other national institutes and research centres like IMI Bhubaneswar, BIMTECH Bhubaneswar, NALCO Aluminium Research Centre etc.

Facilities at IIIT-BH
Hostels - The Institute is a fully residential campus and it has separate hostels for boys and girls separately. These can accommodate over 1300 students. There are few air conditioned rooms equipped with all the modern facilities. All the hostels have Wi-Fi connectivity and students have access to the internet 24x7. The student residences have two modern and hygienic dining facilities, laundry facilities, common room equipped with HD LCD TV, table-tennis, chess, carom board, music systems, hostel library etc.
Classrooms - There are more than 30 classrooms in multiple formats to accommodate variety of needs of the programmes. These can accommodate student strength ranging from 25 to 180. Class rooms are equipped with Network and Internet access, Multimedia Projectors and Audio systems etc.
Library - The Central Library has a large collection of Text Books, Journals, e-Books and Multimedia Content.
IT Facilities - The Institute provides Information Technology infrastructure in the campus which is Service Oriented. The whole campus is networked, has fast internet access and servers which support a variety of services. The institute is subscribes to over 135 mbps internet bandwidth through redundant ISPs. There are development tools, analytical software, simulation software etc. Every student has a laptop.
Scholarships and Financial Aid - The Institute has Tuition Fee Waiver Schemes which offer financial relief to the needy students. The Institute has scholarships for the Top three toppers. The Institute also facilitates Easy Educational Loans. In addition state government and central government agencies have a larger number of schemes to provide scholarship to students. The Institute also tries to get assistantship, scholarship from Industry.
Laboratories - There are numerous Laboratories as required by the curriculum. In addition, the Institute has built research oriented laboratories with own funding.

Mini Auditoria - The Institute has 4 Mini Auditoria. These can accommodate 300 persons each and are equipped with modern audio and visual presentation equipments. These are used for guest lectures, interaction meetings, technical events, student– industry interactions and seminars.
Industry Collaboration - IIIT Bhubaneswar has tie ups with two global giants - IBM and Capgemini. IBM initiated a university program with the institute to conduct various real life projects as well as training sessions. They will also conduct many workshops and demonstrations. With this program the students get an opportunity to know about the various procedures involved in making real life software. IIIT Bhubaneswar and Capgemini have also joined hands to create high quality study materials and tools which not only benefit the institute students but the trainees as well.
Placement Cell – The cell organises curricular and extracurricular programmes which boost the skills and confidence of the students. The Placement cell reaches out to the potential recruiters to visit the institute for campus recruitment.
