Guru Ravidas Ayurved University (GRAU), Hoshiarpur is a State University specialising in Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy education. The university has been established by Government of Punjab by an act no. 4 of 2010 f. Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab (GRAUP) has been specifically established for the upliftment of AYUSH in the state of Punjab and country as a whole. It started functioning with effect from 1^st February, 2011. Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab (GRAUP) is one of its own kinds in North India. As of 2015, 12 Ayurvedic colleges (including one government ayurvedic college) and 4 Homoeopathic colleges are affiliated with this university. GRAU regulates the conduct of both undergraduate and postgraduate Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic teaching in 17 affiliated colleges in the State of Punjab. It is involved in education and research of all basic, clinical and allied departments. As of 2015, its campus is under development in village Kharkan, Near Hoshiarpur and just 10 km from Hoshiarpur city.

Facilities at GRAUP

Hostels – Separate facilities for girls and boys is available in the University. The hostels have 2 types of room’s - independent room with single bedroom and special room with attached bathroom and AC.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme – Scheduled Caste category candidates are entitled for scholarship from the Department of Welfare, Government of Punjab if they fulfil certain terms and conditions. Generally, scheduled caste category candidates, whose family annual income from all sources is less than 2.5 lacs, are entitled for post matric scholarship as per guidelines of Government of India and Punjab Government. There are however other terms and conditions as well.
