About Charotar University of Science and Technology - CHARUSAT
Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is established under the Gujarat Act No. 8 of 2009, Government of Gujarat. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has empowered CHARUSAT to award Degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956. It aspires to advance learning and knowledge by teaching and research relevant to the Society. It is spread over 105 acres.
The University Trusts
The University has two Trusts or the founder namely Matrusanstha (A group of Patidar villages) and Kelavani Mandal, it started functioning from 1994 after getting registered as a not for profit Education Trust with Charity Commissioner’s Office.

Charotar University of Science and Technology Facilities
Hostel Facility - The CHARUSAT has Student Housing (hostel) is available for girls and at other four privately owned hostels adjacent to campus.
Library Facility - The University has good collection of both print and electronic books, journals, technical reports, back volumes and other reading material. It has adequate infrastructure and its resource center contains many books, magazines, online journals, ebooks, etc.
Computing Facility - The CHARUSAT offers students computing facilities through state of the art computers and their own notebooks.
Award & Scholarship Facility - The University provides scholarship facilities to meritorious students who are given special prizes, awards and scholarships from the management to encourage them to perform better in academia.
Sports Facility - The University provides good sports facilities to students. CHARUSAT’s cricket and football teams have performed well in state level championships. It has also facilities for indoor and outdoor games like badminton, table tennis, cricket, volleyball and football.
Transportation Facility - The University also offers bus services on contracts basis for students.
