Genesis 

Evolving from the foresight of Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational and Social Welfare Trust in 1998, RIMT University has embraced innovation and challenged the status quo. An entrepreneurial perspective encourages students, staff and faculty to challenge convention, lead discovery and explore new ways of learning. Here, bold thinking is given a place to develop into ideas that can change the world.

History 

Driven by a strong inclination to assign the futuristic parameters to given standards of education today, RIMT carries forward its illustrious history since inception in 1998. Continuing on its path of growth, RIMT experienced the greatest period of momentum in its history while adding a new institution every year from 2002 to 2017. This legacy continues with RIMT Universtiy established by Govt. of Punjab vide Punjab Act, No. 31 of 2015 & under section 2 (f) of the UGC.

Campus 

Dedicated Information Systems Support 

A dedicated ICT cell provides communication support to all the faculties and staff. The cell plans, organizes & maintains all ICT equipment and campus wide networks for all institutions. Hi-tech computer labs comprising 2000+ computers supported by speedy network connectivity and uninterrupted internet access through a multi-mode fibre optic based line. 

Laboratories and Workshops 

RIMT’s world class infrastructure includes well-equipped labs in tune with the needs of the curriculum and potential employers, as also latest technology developments. RIMT’s workshops are integral part of technical education because these are the places where students actually apply the theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms.

Cloud Campus and ERP 

RIMT university’s cloud campus acts as a skill development platform, which provides globally acclaimed and industry leading cloud based learning systems. The cloud campus is working towards bridging the gap between academia and industry by enabling students to upgrade their soft and hard skills. At RIMT university, a world-class ERP portal acts a medium of learning management

System for students.

To permit easy access to cash for all the students and hostellers, 2 atm’s have been located within the campus.

Healthcare Facilities 

A wide range of health services are available at RIMT. These comprise a well-equipped dispensary, a qualified doctor and nursing staff and well equipped ambulances.

Knowledge Centre 

RIMT’s Knowledge Centre enhances teaching and learning via, diverse and user oriented information services and resources. The centre is a pillar and is a new age approach to managing print, digital, audio-visual material, from all over the world, as well as student project reports and other research project, all in a seamless manner. The online facilities are open to the faculty members, students, researchers and alumni.

Transport 

RIMT university has a fleet of 120 buses providing transport facility to the students of Patiala, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala, Khanna, Sirhind, Mandi Gobindgarh, Samrala, Malerkotla, Fatehgarh Sahib, Nabha, Doraha, Mandi Ahmedgarh, Rara Sahib, Payal, Morinda, Sahnewal, Bija, Samana, Bhawanigarh Etc. 

Library Resources 

At RIMT, the library subscribes to national and international journals and has large e-resources. We truly provide knowledge for life. 

Cafeteria and Canteens 

RIMT campus has many cafeterias and also a multi cuisine food court to cater to the varied taste of students and to provide diverse food items in a hygienic environment.
