For becoming a Forensic Scientist one has to join Master degree course offered by the various institution in the country and to become a specialist who conducts post-mortems on dead bodies to find out the cause of death, one must first secure an MBBS degree and then go for an MD in forensic sciences.

After completing the course one can either start his laboratory straightway or can join some law enforcement agencies like police, legal system and the investigative services of the government. Opportunities for forensic scientists exist in government organizations such as intelligence bureau (IB), the central bureau of Investigation (CBI) and as investigative officers in the crime cells of state police forces.
