Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Mass Media requires candidates to be pass in 12th class (10+2) or equivalent in any Stream.
  • Percentage requirement may vary from Institute to Institute.
  • Some Institutes also conduct an entrance examination / test for getting admission to this degree course. The entrance examination / test generally consists of a written paper, group discussion and personal interview.

Duration - The duration of the mass communication degree course is 3 years. There are number of semesters, which are mostly 6 in number.

Bachelor of Arts- Journalism and Mass Communication (Honours) is also available in few Institutes of India. The eligibility for it is 10+2 and the duration is 3 years. One the Institutes which provides this course is South Calcutta Girls’ College in Kolkata.

Mass Communication Degree is also available through Distance Learning Degree Programs provided by some Institutes of India.
