Assam TET 2022 - Assam Teacher Eligibility Test : Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Assam TET 2022 - Assam Teacher Eligibility Test acronym as ATET or Assam TET is conducted by the Elementary Education Department, Govt of Assam in collaboration with Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA). It is an eligibility test to become teachers at lower primary levels and upper primary levels.

Assam TET 2022 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

• For Class I-V
  Aspiring candidates should have passed 12^th class with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
• Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
• They should have completed 12th with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR
• They should have had cleared graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
• Students pursuing teacher education courses recognized by the NCTE or RCI can also apply for TET only after acquiring all the required qualifications.

For Class VI-VIII

• Aspiring students should have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education OR
• Students should have passed graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• They should have cleared graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor's in Education.

Note: Students must fulfill all the eligibility requirements before applying for Assam TET.

Assam TET 2022 Syllabus

The exam comprises questions from the following subjects.

Paper I (Classes I-V)

• Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)
• Language-I – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar (compulsory-any one)
• Language-II – English (compulsory)
• Mathematics
• Environmental Studies

Paper-II (Classes VI-VIII)

• Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)
• Language-I – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar (compulsory-any one)
• Language-II – English (compulsory)
• Either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies

Note: There is no negative marking for any wrong responses.

Assam TET 2022 Pattern

The exam consists of MCQs from the following subjects. It is divided into two sections.

Paper I (Classes I-V)

Paper-II (Classes VI-VIII)

Imp: Candidates must get 90 marks (60%) for qualifying. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD candidates, it is 83 marks (55%).
