M.A. Disaster Management or Master of Arts in Disaster Management is a postgraduate Disaster Management Geography course. It covers the disaster management topic which is the generic name of an interdisciplinary field.  Disaster Management course is a strategic organizational management process used to protect critical assets of an organization from hazard risks that can cause disasters or catastrophes, and ensure the continuance of the organization within their planned lifetime. The duration of M.A. in Disaster Management is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute. The syllabus is divided into four semesters. :  During the Third Semester, the students are required to undergo the four weeks internship and prepare a report. The internship will be carried out with a government agency or NGO. The candidate will spend this time in gathering the requisite experience and skills necessary for her/his training. In addition, the candidate may collect material/data for his/her report also.
