B.Sc Information Technology or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology is an undergraduate Information Technology course. The Information Technology degree course is awarded after successfully completing a three years program in the study, design, development, implementation, support, or management of information systems with the use of software applications and computer hardware to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and securely retrieve information. In other words, B.Sc. (Information Technology) degree is a comprehensive course that involves the study of computing technology, covering everything from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. B.Sc. (Information Technology) degree course includes the study of software development, software testing, software engineering, computer networking, web design, databases, programming, etc.
B.Sc Information Technology Eligibility
- The students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized University
- 10+2 class must be completed in the Science stream with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subjects studied
- Should possess a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at the intermediate level
- Some reputed colleges and institutes also conduct entrance examinations to get admission to their B.Sc in Information Technology degree course.
- Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e. total marks aggregated in the final exams of 10+2 and the entrance exam.
