Ph.D. Animal Nutrition or Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Nutrition is a Doctorate Veterinary Science course. Animal nutrition focuses on the dietary needs of domesticated animals, primarily those in agriculture and food production. The Master degree course covers economic rations for various categories of livestock and poultry by use of non-conventional feed sources which include various types of wastes, agro industry by products and fodders to spare maximum grains for human consumption. The duration of the course is three years and it career orienting in nature that opens a lot of job scopes for the candidates after its completion.
Ph.D. Animal Nutrition Eligibility
- M.Phil. Degree and a Post-Graduate degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a University or a recognized institution of higher training; OR
Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognized institution of higher learning and five years of teaching/industry/administration/professional experience at senior level.
