Ph.D. Veterinary Pathology or Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Pathology is a doctorate Veterinary Science. Veterinary Pathology undertakes the examination of animal tissue and body fluids. Ph.D. in Veterinary Pathology focuses on the scientific study of the development and process of disease in domestic and wild animals and applications to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. The course includes instruction in pathogenesis, immuno-parasitology, viral therapy, inherited metabolic diseases, environmental toxicology, anatomical and clinical pathology, necropsy and biopsy techniques, clinical laboratory analysis, pathological interpretation, and disease diagnosis. The duration of the course is three years and it is important in many ways for the candidates after it.
Ph.D. Veterinary Pathology Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed M.Phil. Degree and a Post-Graduate degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a University or a recognized institution of higher training.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PH candidates) or an equivalent grade from a university or a recognized institution of higher learning and five years of teaching/ industry/ administration/ professional experience at senior level.
- Some reputed colleges and institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
