Educational Qualification
- Aspiring candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from an institution recognized by U.G.C.
- Should possess at least 55% aggregate marks at the Post-Graduate level
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category, are required to qualify Post-Graduate with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, OR
- Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Master's Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
- However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for the award of Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master's Degree examination or equivalent with the prescribed eligible % of marks.
- The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5 % in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55 to 50%) for appearing for GSET. However, Candidates shall appear to the GSET on the subject of their post-graduation only.
- Note: Candidates possessing post-graduate diploma/certificate course(s), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course(s) with a Master's Degree of recognized Indian university from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
GSET 2024 Syllabus
KSET will consist of questions from the relevant subjects on the pattern of the UGC-NET.
Paper-I
It is designed to test the,
- Comprehension,
- Divergent Thinking,
- General Awareness, and
- Reasoning Ability
50 multiple-choice questions of two marks each will be given
Paper-II
- It shall consist of 100 questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- Each paper will consist of a Test Booklet containing 100 compulsory objective-type questions of two marks each.
Note: All the questions in each paper are compulsory.
GSET 2024 Pattern
GSET exam consists of two sessions containing two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II.
Both the paper will consist of only objective-type questions.
