Sikkim TET 2024 - Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test acronym Sikkim TET is conducted by the Education Department of Sikkim for becoming teachers in schools for classes I-V (Primary Stage) and classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage).

Educational Qualification
For Classes I-V: Primary Stage
- Aspiring candidates should have passed the 12th or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% in the case of SC / ST / OBC (Central), OBC (State), and 50% marks in aggregate for general candidates.
- They should have passed the final year of 2 years of D.El.Ed. OR
- They should have passed 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45 % in the case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Candidates should have passed 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for general candidates and 45% in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in the final year of 4 years B.Ed.
For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
- Aspiring candidates should have passed B.A / B.Sc with 50% marks for general categories and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), and OBC (State). Besides this, they should have passed the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.). OR
- General candidates should have completed B.A / B.Sc with 50 % marks in aggregate and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in the final year of 1/2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- They should have passed either 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in the general category and 45 % for SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) along with a final year of 2 years in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR
