How to join Indian Ordnance Factories Service

Ordinance factories manufacture equipment including sleeping bags and tents for the Defense Services. The Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officers serve in these factories in various capacities for a time nearly 10 years. They may also be asked to serve as commissioned officers of the Armed forces for about 4-5 years.
At the apex of the IOFS is the Chairman equivalent to a Secretary, followed by Members of the Ordinance Factories or Director General Ordinance Factories and then by General Manager. The other senior and junior scale positions are like the other services. The head of the service is the chairman of the OFB / DGOF.
