Industrial Engineer also known as Management Engineer or Production Engineer in some organizations has to work in coordination with other technical and management experts of the organization towards the optimization of all the factors of production be it human resource, machinery, equipments, energy resources or raw material to get the best possible output and increase productivity in manufacturing units.
Industrial Engineer uses his skills to minimize wastage of time, investment, raw materials, energy resources and another factor of production. As these measures are necessary for practically every organisation, industrial engineering is applied in virtually every industry thereby making industrial engineer an all-important professional.
In a pursuit to achieve overall economies of scale industrial engineer communicate with vendors, technical and non-technical staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status from time to time.
The minimum educational qualification for becoming an Industrial Engineer is a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
