How to become an Automobile Engineer?

Aspiring candidates have to follow the given steps to become an automobile engineer.

Step 1
After completing 10th  class aspiring candidate can get admission in Diploma in Automobile courses provided by Diploma Engineering Colleges or Polytechnics in almost all the states of the country. Candidates may have to appear in an entrance test conducted by the Technical Education Boards of various State Governments and selected candidates are admitted in the Diploma colleges according to the rank of the candidate in the entrance exam. 

Alternatively, 12th class pass candidates can get admission in B.E/B. Tech Automobile degree course after taking JEE  and other engineering entrance exams.

Step 2
After completing this three years of Diploma course one can either join some Automobile making Company as Junior Engineer or can compete to get admission in the second year of a degree in engineering course which is provided by some of the regional engineering colleges of the state. 

Step 3
After successful completion of the degree course and required internship, the candidate is ready to join the Automobile Industry as an Automobile Engineer.

As another option one can opt of higher qualification as Master in Automobile Engineering (M.E Automobile Engineering) followed by PhD in Automobile Engineering and can go for research work or for academics. It all depends upon once priorities in their life.
