About Amity University - Gwalior

Amity University (Madhya Pradesh) is established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), New Delhi. It is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and was established with the view to promote professional, industry-oriented education in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Amity University Madhya Pradesh has been established by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 27 of 2010 of Government of Madhya Pradesh and is recognized as per Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. Amity University Madhya Pradesh located on 100 acres of land opposite Gwalior Airport. It imparts modern, practical and research-based courses which will lead to the development of manpower which is employable and ready for industry.  This in turn will drive the socio-economic development of the region.

Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), it is an Umbrella organization of all Amity Institutions). RBEF was established in 1986. Presently, more than 1,00,000 Students study in 240 programs across 30 Amity campuses spread over 1000 Acres of land with more than 5.1 million sq. ft. of built-up area. More than 4000 faculty and staff members are dedicated to making Amity institutions world class and include leaders such as 12 former vice chancellors of renowned universities including Roorkee University, the former vice chairman of the AICTE, 12 former Generals of the Indian Army, IAS and IPS officers, renowned scientists, former CEOs of PSUs and of course many brilliant academicians.

Amity University imparts education in almost all areas including management, engineering, biotechnology, law, communication, insurance, nanotechnology, behavioral science, fine arts etc. The Amity Business School and the Amity Institute of Biotechnology have both been ranked No.1 in the country among private institutes. The Amity Institute of Telecommunication and Technology Management has also been ranked among the top in the country and The Amity School of Engineering has been ranked No. 1 in terms of placements. Amity was also the first in the country to start a program in cyber law and the first to launch an insurance institute. This industry-oriented approach has ensured that Amity has 100% placements.

Amity University Facilities

Education Loan Facilities - Education Loans have become the preferred method of financing one's education, and thousands of students at Amity are studying on Education Loans. Most Banks in the country offer attractive education loans for students. For the benefit of prospective students at AMITY, premier nationalized banks Oriental Bank of Commerce and Allahabad Bank have taken up this task. The following are covered under this it:-

Sports Scholarship Facilities - To attract talent in sports, Amity University announces sports scholarships. The criteria for Admission will be as follows:-

• Minimum academic eligibility for the respective program should be met, as mentioned in the Admission prospectus 2013.
• Age should not be of more than 23 years as on 1st July, 2013.

Anti Ragging Facilities - Ragging is totally banned in Amity University campus including its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, canteen etc.) whether located within the campus or outside and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/ or abetting ragging is liable to be punished appropriately.
