About ICFAI University - Jaipur

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Jaipur or in short ICFAI University (IUJ) is a Private self financed University specialising in management and technical education. It was established and notified as a State Private University in 2011 by the Act of the Government of Rajasthan. It is one amongst the group of institutions known as Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (ICFAI) located at Raipur, Solan, Ranchi etc. IUJ is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a not-for-profit educational society established in 1984 with the broad objective of empowering citizens through world class quality education. The University has been established for creating and disseminating knowledge and skills through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing. IU Jaipur campus is spread over an eco-friendly campus of 40 acres with total constructed built up are of over 2 lakh sq.ft in the foot hills of Aravalis. Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) is a constituent unit of the University. The ICFAI University Jaipur is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). IUJAIPUR has infrastructural facilities like LCD projectors and air conditioners in each class room, online library, health centre, facilities for co-curricular activities, transportation facility etc.

How to reach Jaipur

• By Air - Jaipur has an airport called Sanganer, 15 kms from the city, which connects Jaipur to all major airports in India through direct flights. It has regular flights to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
• By Road – There are bus services between Jaipur to Delhi by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation with buses approximately every half an hour both sides. There are several types of buses including Deluxe, AC and the superior AC Volvo buses. From Delhi you can board the bus from Bikaner House on Pandara Road next to India Gate. From Jaipur you can board the bus from Narayan Singh Circle or the main Sindhi Camp bus stand.
• By Rail - Jaipur has a railway junction, which connects Jaipur with the metros and all the major cities of India. Apart from these trains, a specialty train called 'Palace on Wheels', which leaves from Delhi and connects a number of tourist attractions. Other trains are the Shatabdi Express and the Intercity Express.

Facilities at ICFAI, Jaipur

Hostels - Limited facility is available for accommodation on twin sharing basis at Boys hostel adjacent to the University on first-cum-first serve basis.

Library - The University has a Main Central Library and Departmental Libraries. It has a collection of over 12,000 thousand book titles and subscribes to 97 journals / periodicals and 7 newspapers in two languages. The library also has more than 350 educational CDs and about 5 sets of encyclopaedia. The Library is fully automated and is functioning on the basis of an 'open access' system. Students are also provided with the facility of desktops with high speed internet connectivity and access to e-journals and e-books.

Scholarships - The ICFAI University Jaipur offers merit scholarships to students. The scholarships are based on performance in Class XII (or equivalent) and Semester-wise performance during the Programs. Under Semester wise performance scholarships up to 10% of the students of the batch will be awarded merit scholarships based on their performance. Scholarships based on past academic record percentage achieved in qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) will decide the amount of scholarship. Scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining the minimum 7.5 GPA under it.

Computer and Internet Facilities - The University has two Computer Laboratories equipped with Projection System, networking equipments and other devices catering to the needs of all students and the faculty. All Computers in the Laboratories are well connected with internet and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled

Workshops and laboratories - The ICFAI University, Jaipur has various laboratories such as Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Communications and Computer Science laboratories which are well equipped with modern machines to train the students and make them aware with the realistic version of the course.

Language Laboratory – The laboratory serves to those students who are weak in English language. Proficiency in English language establishes confidence in the students and they can face interviews easily.

Cafeteria and Canteen - The University has a well -furnished cafeteria to cater the refreshment needs of the students, faculty, staff and guests. The canteen is open for 24 hours for students and staff’s convenience.

Sports – The University provides facilities for various sports and games. Facilities for outdoor games include cricket, volleyball, kabbadi, badminton, football. Facilities for indoor games include Carom, Chess and Table Tennis.

Mock Tests - IUJ also conducts mock tests for National Entrance Examinations like JEE (Main) and MAT, free of cost and provides feedback and career counselling services for the students.

Summer Internship – The internship program courses form part of the curriculum of B.Tech. Course and are conducted in campus-like environment. B. Tech. students undergo internship program courses lasting several weeks at professional locations. The faculty is also involved in the ongoing projects. These internships provide firsthand experience in understanding how the corporate world works like an organization, its systems management, business models, marketing etc. The Final year students work on live projects in industries for about five and half months.

Seminars – Various seminars are conducted by the university on current engineering topics of importance. These seminars help students interact with professionals in industry and expand their knowledge base. IU Jaipur conducts seminars in association with industry associations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Placements - Placement meets and personality development workshops are organized as a part of the placement program by the University. All the students are provided guidance in career planning as they progress to higher levels of the program. Seminars, internship courses conducted in industries, research projects and on and off-campus initiatives maintain a constant interaction with the industry.

Alumni - Students completing their studies at the university are eligible to seek membership in the IUJ Alumni Society (IUJAS), a society formed for the benefit of IUJ Alumni. The provisional membership entitles the students to participate in seminars, workshops and conferences organized by the IUJAS and participate in the local chapter activities. After completion of the Program, students will be automatically eligible for membership to IUJAS.
