About Sir Padampat Singhania University

Sir Padampat Singhania University has been established by the JK Cement  Nimbahera Foundation, a Public Trust. It was established at Udaipur, Rajasthan by an Act (Udaipur Act, Act No. 4 of 2008) of the Govt. of Rajasthan in 2007, under section 2f of UGC Act 1956. Sir Padampat Singhania University is approved by UGC vide Notification No: F.9-8/2009(CPP-1) dated 13 April 2009 and is empowered to award degree as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University has a sprawling campus of about 100 acres. The University aims to impart quality education through a number of educational programmes. The fully residential and secured (24 hours security vigilance) campus is ecologically friendly and conducive for academic learning and comfortable living. Education programmes at undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral levels are being offered by the Uninversity. JK Cement Nimbahera Foundation was founded in1982. JK Cement Limited, Kanpur having Cement Plants in Nimbahera, District Chittorgarh and Gotan, District Nagaur in Rajasthan, backs this trust. The basic objectives of the trust are as follows

Location - It is located at a distance of 30 Km from Udaipur city and about 10 Km from the Udaipur airport on the National Highway 76 towards Chittorgarh.

Facilities

Hostels and Faculty Residences - SPSU is a fully residential University. It has 5 Hostels, 3 for boys and 2 for girls. Number of rooms are available for the faculty. All the hostels & faculty residences are provided with Internet, Telephone & T.V. connectivity, R.O. Water, Standby power backup, and Security services. Hostels also have facilities for Indoor games, Fire alarm Systems, Common rooms etc.

Electrical Sub-Station and Back-Up System - The University is having a dedicated feeder line of 11 KV electric power supply. Besides the University is also having two nos. of 250 KVA D.G. sets as a backup power system.

Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant (R.O.) - Each of the buildings (Administrative, Academic, Dinning, Hostels, Faculty residences) are equipped with 250 LPH capacity. R.O. System.

Games and Sports - University has facilities for the following games & sports: Foot ball, Cricket, Volley ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Track & Field events etc.

Dinning Hall - Well-equipped with High-Tech kitchen accessories, R.O. water, Water coolers, Fire protection equipments, Telephone Connectivity

Auditorium - The University has open stage auditorium for organizing the cultural and other related activities.

Medical Facilities - Medical Officer and Ambulance facilities are available in the campus.                                       

Internet Networking - The entire campus is having 6 Mbps dedicated Internet connectivity round the clock through LAN and Wi-Fi. The whole campus including Administrative, Academic, Faculty Residence and Hostel are connected by Fiber Optic back bone.

Security Services - Trained security guards (Male & Female) are posted on the important locations with in the campus round the clock by M/S Group 4 Securities.

Clubs - Concept is the Organisers Club. Different clubs have been formed for organizing various events of the university throughout the year. The role of concept would be to organise all the events of the university smoothly and to provide complete logistic support.

A.T.M. - ATM (Indian Overseas Bank) facility is available in the campus.      

Transport Facility - The University provides Transport facility to the staff and students from the campus to the city.
