Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition, Food Processing and Technology is a postgraduate Home Science course. Food processing is the set of methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food or to transform food into other forms for consumption by humans or animals either in the home or by the food processing industry. Students select from a range of courses to meet individual needs and specialisation preferences, and undertake a research project within the broad areas of food industry, food science, technology, engineering and microbiology, or nutrition. Graduates of the program demonstrate specialised knowledge of selected fields including food-processing, chemistry, microbiology, sensory assessment, safety/quality management, preservation and biotechnology. After passing the course, students have many career options as it is career orienting in nature.
