About Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya

Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is a Hindi Language University, which means all of it's course are taught in Hindi Language. The University was established by an Act passed by Parliament. 08, 1997 meeting approved by the President on the same date was published in the Gazette of India. This Act enabled education, research and development of Hindi language and literature from an academic university setting through which Hindi can obtain better efficiency and become the major international language. The very name Mahatma Gandhi prompts the University to prepare curricular like studies in Non-Violence and Peace, Women's Studies, Hindi as an alternative language for technology and business. Gandhism aims at providing opportunity for personal and social fulfilment in unison. Ethical behaviour, world fraternity and cultural interaction are the basic tenets of Gandhian thoughts. MGAHVs curricula and programs incorporate these components through out. Therefore, the Gandhian philosophy will be reflected in MGAHVs work culture, curricula and administrative system. MGAHV is a unique university which is conceived as universal in knowledge base and international in its spread. The MGAHV positions itself as an International Platform to provide various courses of higher education seeped in Indian ethos and traditions, combined with the modem technologies to achieve its covered goals.

Constituent Colleges

  • Language College - Given today's employment-oriented and competitive position of Hindi language, it is important to give a new vision and direction, whether of language or Anuprayogatmk Saidhdanthyka approach or technology field or engineering side, connected to them. Without proper development and promotion of Hind is not possible today.  Keeping this concept at the centre of Hindi is an international language and to achieve the goal of establishing language - the college has been established. Language.
  • School of Letters - Valid under the Act in four, Avidayapetoan University School of Letters is a major college. Adhyan communicates Indian and world languages, literature and comparative literature with research leaders. Language and literature are numerous and multidisciplinary, but the mind and Aaswadka values, despite the differences, are basic in nature. Therefore communication between different languages, literature is vast. The potential of the college is research. The vision is Paratishruti Antranusassnik study and research of the School of Letters. Currently, under the School of Letters, Department of Literature (Comparative Literature), the MA, M. Phil. And PhD Courses are run. For foreign students of language, literature and culture, BA Course, Graduate Diploma course in comparative Indian literature and Indian are proposed.  The sessions of the independent Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies MA are also proposed.

Learning Centers

1.  Technology Study Centre - The centre at the University gives priority to national and international development of technology-related education, other disciplines and promoting culture as well. Postgraduate and research level in the centre and the Certificate and Diploma level courses are offered.

2.  Indian and Foreign Language Advanced Study Centre
- The Centre through education consistent with national and international scene with the aim of educating Indians and foreigners has been established.

The centre provides the following Diploma / Oricnteshne / Summer courses:

  1. Diploma in Computer Application.
  2. Diploma in Sanskrit.

3.  Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dalit and Tribal Studies Centre - M.A. - Dalits and Tribal International Studies is a two-year study course. The course has 28 seats in total.
Eligibility at least 50 percentage in any discipline from a recognized university graduates.

4.  Mahatma Gandhi Fujii Guruji Master Peace Studies Centre - The centre has been named after Mahatama Gandhi and Fujii Guruji. The purpose of the centre is to promote teaching and research in comparative Religion, culture, and peace. The centre organises seminars, symposiums, debates, lectures, poster exhibitions, articles etc.

5.  Dr. Badanth Anand Kauslyayan Buddhist Study Centre -  The centre was established to revive Buddhist Dhamma. The centre with the association with Celania University (Sri Lanka) will provide courses on Bodhdsahity and Bodhddershne. The two universities will facilitate students and teachers as they will get to visit each other's University.

Facilities

Hostel - University provides hostel facility for students. There are Five men and a women's university dormitory. The Male dormitory building is currently rented out of the main campus.

Library - The Central Library will be housed in a giant building Sankrityaan Mahapandet Rahul, as it is under construction. By July 2010 the first floor of the building will be available. There will be 60 thousand books in the library building.

Computer Lab - It provides Internet facility and learning through sophisticated methods of research and knowledge.

Health Services - University Health Service Centre has a male and a female physician and currently it has temporarily appointed a dentist. University Health Service Centre building has been completed. Members of the University for medical supervision will soon appoint full-time medical officer. University staff and students are provided hospital services whenever necessary.

Sports - Mahatma Gandhi International University provides students and researchers an alternative for creative development. Physical development of students in this direction was established through the Sports Department. Through the department's various games are held. Other facilities include sports courtyards, indoor stadium and gymnasium.

University Distance Education Centre
- It provide employment-oriented courses to meet the needs of society. It presents alternatives to the current education system, original thinking and research in Hindi. Using the latest technologies and distance education programs it is involved in the dissemination of Hindi.
