About Central University of Rajasthan

The Central University of Rajasthan has been established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009, The Gazette of India, No. 27, published on 20th March, 2009) as a new Central University, and is fully funded by the Government of India. The President of India, Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, is the Visitor of the Central University of Rajasthan. The University is in it’s initial stages of development and has been allotted over 500 Acres of land at Bandar Sindri on Jaipur-Ajmer Road.  The University has also been given a newly constructed Shri R. K. Patni P.G. Govt. College, Kishangarh (also on Jaipur-Ajmer Road) as a temporary campus for the University till the required infrastructure is ready at the permanent site. The University has launched six new P.G. programs with effect from the academic year 2010-11. These programs, along with the two launched in 2009-10, are being conducted at the temporary campus at Kishangarh.

• 76 Kms. from Jaipur when going from Jaipur to Ajmer.
• Less than a Km (700 meters) from the highway (NH-8).

Facilities

Central Library – The University established a library in its temporary campus - Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur on 16th February 2009. Presently the University Library has been relocated at the temporary campus of the University at Sh. R. K. Patni Govt. P. G. College, Kishangah, Distt.-Ajmer. It has a collection of more than 2800 reference and text books. It subscribes to 33 National and International printed journals. It provides Online access of 3,000 Journals and few electronics database under the U.G.C. / INFONET Digital Library consortium of INFLIBNET. The library also provides 10 Mbps High-Speed Internet Connectivity along with computing facility.

Anti Sexual Harassment Cell - to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to the staff and students of the University.

MOU - The University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore which will benefit teachers and students.

Training & Placement – It provides placement assistance to the students and helps them in career planning, preparation for selection tests, summer placement, internship and final placements. The Placement Cell is working on liaising with the senior executives of reputed organizations for the development of the effective communication links with many prominent industrial and professional organizations. Various activities like Aptitude test, Group Discussion, Guest Lectures from corporate personalities are organized from time to time by the placement cell for the students of the University.
