J.K. Lakshmipat University, JKLU is a Deemed Private University established and managed by Lakshmi Pat Singhania Foundation for Higher Learning of JK Organisation. Lakshmi Pat Singhania Foundation for Higher Learning is involved in spreading education across the country with special emphasis on providing quality education to the masses. It is with this profound philosophy of education, that the multi-discipline JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) was established in Jaipur in the year 2011 to give students the cutting-edge of holistic learning and to develop promising youngsters into leaders of tomorrow with globally relevant, future-ready and actionable intelligence. JK Organisation is one of the leading Indian Industrial Conglomerates of the country with a rich heritage of more than 100 years. The University Grants Commission has empowered the University to award degrees and as per Rajasthan Private Universities Act. The University has also been accredited by International Accreditation Organization (IAO), Houston, USA for complying with the standards and criteria established by International Accreditation Organization. The Territorial Jurisdiction of the University is spread over all Rajasthan as per the Act Rajasthan State. The campus is spread over an area of 30 acres.

Transportation

The University is situated approximately 19.5 kms from State Road Transport Corporation Bus Stand (Sindhi Camp), 18.5 kms from the Jaipur Railway Station and 25 kms from Sanganer Airport on the Jaipur - Ajmer National Highway No.8.

Facilities at J.K. Lakshmipat University

Hostels - There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls in the campus itself. All the hostel rooms have round-the-clock Internet connectivity. Hygienic and healthy food is provided in a centrally located mess, adjacent to the hostels under the guidance of the Mess Committee that has both students and faculty members. The hostels have sports and other recreational facilities, such as Dish TV, common room for interaction etc.

On Campus Residential Facilities - Family accommodation 2BHK and 3BHK is provided to faculty and staff on the campus.

Local Transport - The University provides transportation facility for day scholars through a fleet of buses it owns.

Library – The library subscribes to leading national and international periodicals and journals and an impressive collection of databases, such as IEEE, EBSCO, Indiastat.com, ETintelligence, IMF e-library, corporate & technical annual reports and CDs. The Library is automated through KOHA software, which is integrated with University ERP system. KOHA is equipped with Acquisition, Cataloging, Circulation, Serial Control and OPAC modules. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) provides the bibliographic information and location of various collections as well as links to the online resources in the disciplines of management and engineering as subscribed by the university library.

Internet - A dedicated optical fiber leased line (25 Mbps) and campus wide Wi-Fi network enables round the clock Internet connectivity on the campus.

Laboratories - The University has established various laboratories in the field of engineering and technology to enhance the teaching-learning process. These labs are equipped to demonstrate the concepts taught in the classroom. Moreover, the students are trained on industry-oriented application in these labs. Some of the laboratories are - Language Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Digital Electronics Lab, Communication Lab, etc.

Classrooms - The classrooms are air-conditioned and have multimedia and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning. The classrooms are designed to promote interaction between the faculty and the students. Each classroom has Internet connectivity through wireless local area network. Large classrooms generally used for explaining the concepts and smaller classrooms are used for tutorials where one-to-one interaction is required.

Computing Facilities – These include laboratories with modern software. A state-of- the-art gigabit network connects every corner of the University. The students and faculty members have access to networked computers at their disposal. Internet and Intranet mail servers are available to students and faculty round the clock in each and every hostel room and faculty house on the campus.

Merit Scholarships

i) Second year onwards - Top 10% of the students, who have obtained CGPA of 9.5 and above in the programme will be awarded scholarship equivalent to 75% of the tuition fee. 16 Next 10% of the students, who have obtained CGPA of 8.5 and above but less than 9.5 in the programme will be awarded scholarship equivalent to 50% of the tuition fee.

ii) Merit cum Means Scholarships - Seven merit-cum-means scholarships equivalent to 25% of the tuition fee will be awarded to the students, whose parental income is Rs. 3,00,000/- or less per annum and have obtained CGPA of 7.5 and above but less than 8.5 in the programme.

The E-Cell – The Entrepreneurship Cell develops entrepreneurial skills among the students through various Entrepreneurship Colloquiums and Seminars on different themes.

Cafeteria – It provides refreshment to the students, faculty, staff and guests. It also serves as a formal and informal interaction point of the Institute.

Bank - IDBI Bank has a branch inside the campus with ATM facility, exclusively for the University.

Gymnasium - A well-equipped modern gymnasium caters to the health needs of the students, faculty and staff under the guidance of a professionally qualified trainer.

Healthcare Centre - The University has a well-equipped Healthcare Centre with a full time nursing staff and a visiting doctor.

Utility Store - It caters to the daily needs of the students and the staff.

Summits and Workshops - The University regularly organizes various summits on functional areas of Management, like Finance, Marketing and HR, addressed by academia, industry experts and enlightened government officials.

Clubs – Various clubs of the university meet weekly, and organize talks by guests and University's students followed by quizzes and interactive game

Sabrang - It is the Techno-Management Fest which organizes competitions and provides the students an opportunity to showcase their technological and managerial creativity.

Sports Committee - This committee organizes sports activities. Spardha, a sports meet is organised once a year and different games and tournaments are held throughout the year on a regular basis. There is an active participation of faculty and staff, too.
