About DY Patil Education Society

D.Y. Patil Education Society is established in 2005. It has been helped by the D.Y. Patil Education Society, which is established in the year-1987. Dr. D.Y. Patil Hospital and Medical Research centre is a teaching hospital attached to the Medical College. The Hospital is constructed over 25 acres of land. It has an affiliation earlier with Shivaji University, Kolhapur and later of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. On this basis, the department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, on the recommendations of University Grants Commission under section 3 of UGC act of 1956, vide its resolution No. F.9-26/2004-U3 dated 1st September 2005, has accorded the University status to D.Y. Patil Education Society consisting of D.Y. Patil Medical College with immediate effect.

D.Y. Patil Education Society Facilities

Library Facility - The University has a well equipped library for the need of all students. It has many Indian and International journals and e-journals. It has more than eleven thousand volumes of different disciplines in health sciences as well and internet facility for students and faculty.

Hostel Facility - The Medical College have separate hostel facilities both for boys and girls with capacity of 310 boys and 190 girls. Hostel rooms are well equipped with all facilities.
