About Indian Institute of Management - IIM Rohtak

IIM Rohtak is the Eighth Indian Institute of Management. IIMR is one amongst the 7 new IIMs approved by the Union Cabinet on August 27, 2009. IIM-R started functioning on 30 June 2010 within the Maharshi Dayanand University campus. IIM-R is also India’s First IIM north of Delhi. The institute is being mentored by IIM Lucknow and its current faculty comprises of senior faculty from IIM Lucknow and its Noida campus. IIM Rohtak's 80 hectares (200 acres) campus is being developed at village Garnwati near Rohtak city. The foundation stone of the new campus was laid on 1 October 2010. As of 2011, Indian Institute of Management is functioning from a newly constructed block of Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak.

The admission process of IIM-R consists of:

(a) CAT
(b) PA - Personal Appearance shortlisting
(c) PA, GD & PI - Conduction of Personal Appearance, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) as well as any other component to be decided
(d) FSL - Final Selection List (FSL) based on CAT score, PA score and Work Experience (WE) score as assessed during the PA process.

IIM Rohtak Location – IIMR is located in Rohtak, Haryana on NH10, 70 km northwest of Delhi.

IIM Rohtak Facilities

Hostel - Students hostel is located within the M.D. University Campus. There are 132 Rooms with all the modern facilities like canteen which is within the premises of the Hostel.

Computing Facilities – Computing facilities are backed up by more than 70 (i3 and i5) personal computers connected to the campus LAN. The computer laboratory and class rooms are equipped with the Corei5 second generation and Corei3 processor based computers.

Library - IIM Rohtak library has a rich collection of business and management books, reference collection, dictionaries on different subjects, encyclopaedias, yearbook, reports etc. It subscribes to several journals along with subscription of several online journals, magazines and newspaper. Other library resources include project reports, CDs/DVDs , working papers etc.
