About NIILM University

NIILM University is Haryana State’s First Private University outside the area of National Capital Region of Delhi. It is also the First Private University to be set up in a Rural Area where international courses are taught to students. The University has been established by the Haryana State Legislature under the 'The Haryana Universities (Amendment) Bill 2011'. Its foundation stone was laid on 24th December, 2010. NIILM is an International University housing more than 200 international students from 21 countries. NIILM stands for Northern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management but contrary to the abbreviation, it offers a wide range of programmes in the fields like Engineering & Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Applied Sciences, Media & Mass Communication, Architecture etc. NIILM University is spread over and area of over 22 acres providing high-technology infrastructural facilities.

NIILM University Location:

The NIILM University is approximately 8 kms away from the Kaithal town border. Kaithal city is situated on National Highway NH 65, connecting the state capital Chandigarh to Hissar. New Delhi is about 200 kms from Kaithal and can be reached within three-and-a-half hours through National Highway 87.

Transportation

• The main Railway Station can be reached within a span of half an hour.
• Central Bus Stand can also be reached within a span of half an hour.

Hostel Facility – There is separate accommodation for boys and girls. The hostel provides all the basic amenities expected from such a facility.

Cafeteria - NIILM University cafe offers meals to students at reasonable rates.

Library - The library has a collection of more than 25,000 books covering almost all the subjects taught in the institute. The Digital library contains digital media books magazines & cassettes etc. NIILM University library subscribes to more than 500 online journals through INDEST-AICTE consortium apart from printed journals & magazines. The library is fully computerized and has a spacious reading hall. There is also a book bank meant especially for economically weaker section of society. It provides deserving students text books on loan for a whole academic semester as per rules framed for the purpose. NDEST & INFLIBNET Consortium services are also provided. The library holding can be accessed by computerized Online Public access Catalogue (OPAC). It allows searchers for materials by keywords or through several access points like author, title subjects etc.

Scholarships

• All students of Haryana will be given at least 25% scholarship
• 10% seats reserved for 50% scholarship
• 5% seats reserved for 100% scholarship
• Up to 100% scholarship under Gifted Girl Genius Scholarship scheme on merit and means basis

International Relationship - NIILM university students can pursue degree programs by credit transfer facility through European management institute in below mentioned universities under RDI.

Mentoring Facility - The facility of Guidance Tutor is provided to students to monitor their academic progression and personal growth. Session or meeting are held at regular intervals or as required to address issues like abuse, alcohol, anxiety, drug, peer pressure, performance, sexuality, time management etc.

Placement Cell - The Placement Cell plans and guides students towards their respective career paths. The cell invites organizations/corporates to visit the University campus and give a pre-placement talk. This way it also provides students the required experience.

Interaction with Industry - NIILM University has strong links with prominent industrial groups. It organizes industrial visits and field trips to students of various disciplines.

Summer Training and Internships - NIILM University encourages and helps students take up summer training programs and internships with reputed professional organizations. This helps the students to further their prospects for final placements.

Computer Laboratory – The computer laboratory is equipped with Internet access and other essential facilities to meet the computational needs of the students.

Personality Development Program – The University personal development program helps students in becoming more confident, organized, multi-skilled and flexible individuals. The program also helps in confidence building, assertiveness training, survival skills, CV writing, interview skills and language competence among others
