About Lingaya's Vidyapeeth

Lingaya's University is a private, co-educational university in Haryana, India. The university has its campus in Faridabad, near Delhi. The background of the University is that, earlier, it was functioning under Maharishi Dayanand University by the name of Lingaya's Institute of Management and Technology (established in 1998). This institute gained deemed status in 2009-10 and was renamed Lingaya's University. In 2009, the deemed university gained the status of a full-fledged university, under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India vide Notification No. F.9-23/2005-U.3 dated 5-1-2009. It has a good place in top ranked engineering colleges and private universities of India.

Lingaya's University Facilities

Hostel Facilities - The University provides excellent hostel facility both for boys and girls. The hostel is well equipped with the facilities such as Plasma TV, guest rooms, common rooms, sick bay, running hot water, 24hrs power backup, gymnasium, library and the Internet and a small and beautiful swimming pool.

Library Facilities - The Lingaya's University library is well equipped with modern study tools both for students and faculty members. The library comprises the following facilities such as journals, magazines and online subscription of International journals. Other facilities are: Digital Library, E-Library, Library Automation through Software, Barcode System and On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), etc.

Bus Facilities - The University provides transport facility to students through a fleet of buses, covering almost all major landmarks in Delhi, Faridabad and Gurgaon. And this facility is only for B.Arch., B.Tech., MBA and MCA students.

Sports Facilities - The University provides good facilities for outdoor and indoor games. The University is also known for its Cultural Festival ‘Zest’. The students’ communities of Haryana, NCR Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Punjab eagerly look forward to participate in this Mega Cultural Festival.

Cafeteria - The University provides air-cooled cafeterias. It is set up to cater the needs of the students, staff and visitors and endeavors to provide a variety of hygienic and nourishing food. Besides the cafeterias, there are fast food both Veg. / Non-Vegetarian.

Anti-ragging Cell - The University has a well set up and strong cell for dealing with ragging incidents. And it is done in compliance to UGC regulations by setting up an Anti-ragging Committee at University level.
